Block 2:
A listener calls into the show and asks Taz what WWE needs to do in order to make 205 Live more captivating on a weekly basis. Taz has been saying from the beginning that the cruiserweights need to feel different than the rest of WWE’s roster, and WWE has not done a good enough job of making that happen. In order for the cruiserweights to grow, they need to feel special and important.
Another listener calls into the show and asks Taz about the finish of the Nakamura/John Cena match from Smackdown Live this week. Apparently the original plans for that match called for Baron Corbin to hit the ring and interfere, ultimately costing Cena the match. As we saw on Smackdown, that didn’t happen and Taz points out that maybe there was an audible called on the fly at the end of that match.
Right before the finish of the match, Cena took an awful looking bump where he was suplexed on the back of his head. Perhaps WWE officials in the back or maybe even Cena himself decided to end the match quickly after that due to injury concerns and this resulted in a clean with for Nakamura. Taz says however it happened, he thinks Nakamura winning clean was the better ending for that match.
