Russo believes Finn Balor should have been ‘The Demon’ when he interrupted Bray Wyatt on RAW. He says that when the lights went out during Wyatt’s promo, this was literally the perfect time to bring back the Demon character. He knows that WWE is ‘building to it’ but he hates that explanation. He says this was the perfect time to bring it back, and they failed to do it.
He also has no idea why the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman didn’t close the show. It’s obvious that this was the main event of the evening, and by failing to put this on to close the show, WWE ‘gave up’ on their audience. They knew the ratings would fall in the third hour, and they threw in the towel in terms of giving fans an entertaining third hour of television.
Russo says the visual of Shane McMahon standing next to Kevin Owens during their backstage segment was hilarious. McMahon (the authority figure) is jacked, and Owens (the Superstar) looks like a ‘fat pig’. Russo calls it embarrassing that WWE allowed both of these guys to appear in the same shot.
