Block 1:
Taz opens today’s show by discussing the awful bump John Cena took during the main event of Smackdown Live last night. He says he was very scared for Cena’s health as soon as he took that suplex from Nakamura, but luckily Cena was able to get up and finish the match.
Taz says that he has experience in dealing with an injured neck, and unfortunately he still deals with the side effects of a neck injury that he suffered during his professional wrestling career. He points out that it only takes one bump to really ruin your neck, and the bump that Cena took last night was definitely one of those bumps.
He continues by saying that Cena’s muscular frame and strong neck probably prevented him from suffering a serious injury. Most times a strong, muscular frame helps prevent these types of injuries, but it can also result in worse injuries due to the added weight that muscular people carry, which ultimately lands on their neck/spine.
Taz warns people not to assume Cena is okay just because he walked away, because Taz walked away from the Piledriver that injured him in 1995. Unfortunately, all these years later he still has numbness and partial paralysis in three of his four limbs.
