Bully Ray (Bubba Ray Dudley) recently talked to Alicia from A Music Blog, Yea? about a number of interesting topics. Here are some wrestling topics that the former WWE Tag Team Champion talked about:
What does he mean when he says “Expect to be Entertained” to the people asking him about his shows?
“It’s not even keeping people on their toes, that’s what I do, I go out there and I entertain you. Whether I am beating the p*ss out of somebody, you’re getting entertained; whether I am putting somebody through a table, you’re getting entertained; whether I am wrestling somebody, you’re getting entertained; whether I am strutting around with Dalton Castle and acting like a giant peacock, you’re getting entertained. You’re entertained right now because you are smiling ear to ear, so no matter what I am doing when I am doing, I am entertaining.”
Who is the Superstar that entertains him the most?
“There’s entirely too many to mention. There a lot of great wrestlers/entertainers out there today. I mean in this locker-room alone, the Ring of Honour locker-room alone, everybody is, I mean you can’t even pick one. I mean there’s Daniels, Kazarian and Jay Lethal who is the master of all trades, he can do anything. There’s Cole, Paige, I mean there are so many great wrestlers/performers/athletes in this locker-room. I could sit back and watch an ROH show every single day and never get tired of it.”
What it feels to be Bully Ray again?
“It does feel good to be Bully Ray again because I believe it’s what the fans want to see. People have been telling me since I created Bully Ray like six years ago, this is the side of me they like the best. Going back to WWE with D-Von and having our final run there as The Dudleys was a lot of fun, we went all over the world, we had a blast. But I know from the fan’s perspective it’s not exactly what they wanted. So, I’m happy to be able to come out here with Ring of Honor and be the version of myself that I enjoy the most and that the fans enjoy the most.”
When he and D-Von were contacted by ROH?
“Yeah, Ring of Honor did contact me and D-Von a day after our WWE contracts expired and they wanted me and D-Von to come in and work there. We were very interested, D-Von has a larger family, D-Von wanted to take a step back for a little while, so I said, ‘Bro, you do what you gotta do and I’m gonna keep doin’ what I do’ and that was it. I always knew Ring of Honor and Bully Ray would be a perfect fit.”
