Reason WWE Is Turning Charlotte Flair Babyface

The reason WWE is portraying Charlotte Flair as a babyface on the SmackDown brand is because they want to make her the face of the Women’s division on that brand.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, WWE did an angle that saw Natalya, Carmella and Tamina beat down Flair in an attempt to garner sympathy. Coming out of Tuesday’s show it is very clear that she is now the babyface in the feud and she will have to overcome the odds.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company believes that Flair’s name and presence are two of the main reasons the company wants her to head up the Women’s division on SmackDown. The only other big challenge the company faces in doing so is finding her a suitable opponent for Charlotte to have headlining matches on the card.
