We’re set for a huge Championship match on tonight’s show, as Charlotte challenges Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship! Naomi hasn’t seen a competitor the likes of Charlotte since winning her title at WrestleMania, and the genetically superior Flair poses the biggest threat to Naomi. Maybe the title will change hands tonight, or maybe Naomi will prove she’s on Charlotte’s level.
SmackDown Live is set to open tonight with an exclusive interview with Shinsuke Nakamura. The King of Strongstyle hasn’t wrestled since debuting on the blue brand but he’s set to talk tonight, probably about his run-in’s with Dolph Ziggler. WWE seem to want to save Nakamura’s in-ring debut for the Backlash PPV but that isn’t for another 6 or so weeks. How they can prolong his debut for that long is beyond me.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, AJ Styles is set to face Baron Corbin in a rematch from last week, seeing as neither man really has a feud right now, and Randy Orton is set to lock horns with Erick Rowan – see what I did there? And then there will be Tag Team Beat The Clock Challenge, the first-ever, to determine the number one contender to The Uso’s titles. All that and more to look forward to on tonight’s show.
