Welcome to a much thinner SmackDown Live! Last night on Raw we seen a number of SmackDown superstars make the jump to Raw, including Kalisto, Alexa Bliss, The Miz & Maryse, Bray Wyatt and Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, among others. That’s left quite a void on SmackDown Live but that will surely be filled by some intriguing names tonight.
Who do we see making the jump from Raw? Well first and foremost I think we can all agree that we’re happy AJ Styles is staying put. He feels right at home on the blue brand and unless he’s going to Raw to fight for the title, I want him on SmackDown. But seeing as Bray Wyatt disappeared, that leaves a big creepy hole in SmackDown, which needs to be filled by a substantial name. Initially I had thought Finn Balor but it seems he will be feuding with Bray on Raw, and it isn’t Seth Rollins, so that leaves Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, or someone of that calibre. Seeing as Ambrose took the IC title to Raw, it seems highly likely that Kevin Owens will be making his way to SmackDown! On top of that, I would bet on Charlotte, The New Day, The Club, Sami Zayn, and maybe Emma or Dana Brooke. We might get an AJ Styles/Club reunion!
Outside of the Shake-Up, Bray Wyatt is still chasing Randy Orton’s WWE Championship, which, given that Bray is now on Raw, seems all-too-obvious to stay with Randy. John Cena and Nikki Bella are reported to take some time off but their feud with The Miz and Maryse seemed unfinished. Naomi is awaiting a proper new challenger for her Women’s Championship, which could come in the form of Charlotte!
All that and loads more to look forward to tonight! Who do you want to see come to SmackDown? Let us know in the comments, download the free Ringside News app, and enjoy the show!
