205 Live opens with a look back at the match between Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick last week, in which Tozawa finally bested Kendrick. Kendrick comes to the ring for a match.
Brian Kendrick Vs. Mustafa Ali
The two lock up with Kendrick taking a cheap shot and backing his opponent into a corner, firing off with big right hands. Ali escapes and does a backflip, taunting Kendrick, who runs into a roll-up for two. The fight goes to the floor and Ali hits a suicide dive. We see Drew Gulak watching the match backstage and talking on a cell phone.
Somehow Kendrick hid under the ring and came out the other side, surprising Ali and throwing him head-first into the steel steps and the ring post. Once back in the ring, Kendrick slows down the pace of the match with side headlocks, looking for the Captain’s Hook. Ali flipped out a hold and tried for another roll-up, but settled for a spin kick to take both guys down.

Ali fires up and hits a series of clotheslines, picking up the pace, and lands a big step-up kick on the apron. He leaps between the ropes and springs into a neckbreaker, but Kendrick kicks out. Ali heads to the top rope looking to finish things off, but Kendrick jumps out of the way and he lands hard, then turns around into a heel kick for a close nearfall. Kendrick locks in the Captain’s Hook, and all the sudden the bell rings even though Ali didn’t tap out. They look over and Akira Tozawa is sitting there with the bell, smiling, giving Ali enough of a distraction to attack Kendrick from behind and hit an inverted 450 Splash for the win.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
Backstage, Dasha talks to TJ Perkins, who reiterates what he’s been saying since last night. He was a hero in the Cruiserweight Classic and he was a gift to the cruiserweights. Austin Aries took opportunities away from him. Jack Gallagher pops up to ask him to take a “more gentlemanly approach” to their match later.

Rich Swann Vs. Jonny Ocean
Before the match begins the fans chant “We don’t know you” at Jonny Ocean who surprisingly took complete control of the match in the early stages.
Swann soon hit back with a series of high-octane moves including a double-stomp to Ocean’s back. He followed it up with a Rich Kick to an incoming Jonny Ocean. Swann takes to the top rope and lands a Phoenix Splash to finish off Jonny Ocean in quick fashion.
Winner: Rich Swann
After the match, Rich Swann gets a microphone to say the reason why he gave Alicia Fox all those gifts, but he’s interrupted by Noam Dar. Alicia Fox follows soon after. Another delivery man shows up and Noam Dar takes credit for it. When Alicia opens it, powder explodes all over her.

Dasha asks Austin Aries his opinion on TJ Perkins’ recent change in attitude. Aries says Perkins is blaming Aries for his recent lack of success and Neville isn’t looking for a friend, he’s looking for a puppet.
T.J Perkins Vs. Jack Gallagher
Quite a bit of hair product in the ring right now. Perkins shakes off the traditional handshake as we get started. Gallagher scales the ropes with TJP in tow and lands a take down. Gallagher with unique submissions and chain wrestling. Perkins with a twisting seated head scissors and able to take the Englishman down momentarily. Gallagher reverses immediately and transitions into a series of submissions. Whip exchange leads to a drop kick that sends Perkins to the outside. Perkins doesn’t want to be Poppins’d and heads for the ramp. Gallagher dabs to Perkins, which apparently sets him off. He runs back in and Gallagher sets up the handstand red light/green light game ended by a Gallagher mule kick. Perkins back in it and begins to work over Gallagher’s knee. Senton from TJP for a two.

One, two, kickout. Perkins rolls out to avoid trouble. Gallagher sends him back and Perkins goads him into the Knee Bar. Gallagher able to roll his body over to the ropes to save the match. Gallagher with a twirling back breaker but unable to capitalize. Perkins goes for the wrecking ball drop kick, but Gallagher traps him in the ring apron and delivers a vicious headbutt. Gallagher rolls Perkins back in, covers, and only a two.
Both men going at it in the middle of the ring trading shot for shot. Gallagher goes for the Gentleman’s Drop Kick, but his knee gives out. Perkins sends him head first into the ring post. This sets up the Detonation Kick for the win in what was one of the better matches since 205 Live’s inception.
