Welcome to Monday Night Raw! Are you ready to see some Superstar’s get shaken? Well you’re in luck, tonight is part 1 of the big Superstar Shake-Up!
Stephanie McMahon and Kurt Angle will host Daniel Bryan (and maybe Shane) on tonight’s Raw, as part 1 of the Superstar Shake-Up! This is a weird way of saying there will be a mini-draft tonight, with some guys or gals moving between Raw and SmackDown. Who gets moved where? We don’t really know but there are plenty of educated guesses to be made. Let us know in the comments who you want to see get drafted!
Finn Balor returned on last week’s Raw, in order to help Seth Rollins battle Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. Balor did as he does best and cleared house, defeating Owens to win the match. Afterwards, there was some visible tension between Balor and Rollins, which is to be expected since Seth is the reason Finn was out of action for 6 months. Surely that is a fact that will be brought-up tonight, and do they square-off at Payback? Not to mention, both Finn and KO are owed title rematches. Let us know what you think!
Then there’s the battle of stern expressions between Roman “the hot dog” Reigns and Braun “not-so-monster” Strowman. Last week, Strowman made it clear that he wanted Lesnar and the Universal Championship, despite Heyman saying Lesnar only wanted Roman Reigns. Word of the sheets are that Reigns and Strowman will tackle at Payback, with Braun going over and then facing Lesnar at Bad Blood. Presumably Strowman will lose, which makes it hard to see how WWE will hold-off on doing Lesnar Vs. Reigns until WrestleMania, which is apparently the plan right now.
Right now in the women’s division, Bayley doesn’t really have an opponent, which could see a lady from SmackDown make her way over to tangle with the hugger. Of course Sasha is due a shot but that seems like a SummerSlam showdown, so we’ll need to fill the time with someone else, perhaps Alexa Bliss or Natalya. And maybe Charlotte, having faced everyone imaginable on Raw, makes her way over to SmackDown, which would give the blue brand a really nice shake-up.
There’s lots to be excited about on tonight’s show, most of all the abundance of new storyline possibilities that come with the Superstar Shake-Up. Are you excited? Who do you wanna see move or stay put? Let us know in the comments, check out the free Ringside News app, and enjoy the show!
