We’re less than 24 hours removed from WrestleMania 33 and the dust has yet to settle. What a night it was; Brock Lesnar annihilated Goldberg to win the Universal Championship, The Hardy Boyz returned and won the Tag Team Championship’s, Kevin Owens defeated Chris Jericho and became the US Champion, Bayley retained her Woman’s Championship, and Roman Reigns did as he said and retired The Undertaker.
So here we are, at the craziest, most fun and anticipated Monday Night Raw of the year. There’s lots to look forward to on tonight’s show, that we know about already. Brock Lesnar finally conquered his biggest enemy, Goldberg, after eating 4 Spears, spitting them out, and throwing Goldy around the ring like a rag. The match lasted roughly the same length of time as it took for Goldberg to come to the ring, no hyperbole, and that felt perfect. Now though, Lesnar has returned to the top of the summit and who is his challenger? Logic would say Roman Reigns, given that both men are now the only two to ever beat Undertaker at WrestleMania, however rumours suggest WWE want to hold that card until next WrestleMania. So Brock is in need of an opponent and we should find out tonight who that person may be.
Speaking of Roman Reigns, the big dog walked into WrestleMania and did exactly as he said he would; claimed the yard as his own, and retired Undertaker in the process. It was a very unique, melancholy main event that surely garnered Roman a lot of hate but felt like a fitting send-off to the Deadman. Now hear me out, The Undertaker looked rough, far worse than he had in recent years, and Roman looked like a warrior in his prime. It was completely unrealistic for Undertaker, who stumbled around and botched spots, to defeat the younger, hungrier Reigns. On top of that, Reigns seemingly didn’t want to do what he had to, and Undertaker got the final rub of kicking-out of everything Reigns could throw at him. So Reigns ended the match and walked away, leaving Undertaker to leave his gear in the yard and walk away.

So where does Reigns go now? Like I said above, logic dictates that he challenge Brock but I don’t see that happening. More likely, is a match tonight to determine a number one contender, featuring Reigns, Rollins, and maybe Finn Balor, or Samoa Joe. There’s many ways this could go, but whoever wins faces a massive hurdle in the face of a newly energised Brock Lesnar.
Another huge focus point of tonight’s show will be the returning Hardy Boyz! The legendary duo returned to WWE last night, to a thunderous reception, and went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship’s in a ladder match. It was without doubt one of the best moments of last night’s big show and gave the tag division a much-needed kick up the ass. Who do the Boyz face first, likely at Payback? The obvious answer is the former Champions, The Club. Although I wouldn’t be surprised to see that match take place on tonight’s show, as well as a rematch between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho.
