Major Update on The Hardy’s Return to WWE

It was reported yesterday via Pro Wrestling Sheet that Matt and Jeff Hardy are in talks with WWE and have actually been offered a deal to return to the company.

PWInsider has provided an update on their situation and noted that it’s only a matter of “when” and not “if” the brothers will return to the company. The deal is said to be for Matt and Jeff only and not for Reby Sky or Senor Benjamin. The only issue that remains is The Hardy’s schedule, as they likely don’t want to be on the road full-time.

As noted, The Hardy’s Ring of Honor deal is only a short term deal and they are currently in battle with Impact Wrestling over the ownership of the “broken” character. Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Live today that it is unlikely the “broken” character will be used if there is a legal situation surrounding the ownership. The feeling is The Hardys can be used the way they previously were used and still get over as a nostalgic act.
