Tonight’s show is to be headlined by a huge Fatal 5-Way Elimination match that pits Austin Aries, Tony Nese, TJ Perkins, Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa against one another. The winner of this huge match gets to face Neville at WrestleMania for the Cruiserweight Championship. I’ll admit, I didn’t think this was the way WWE would go with Aries. Last week it was made to seem like Aries would have to face 205 Live’s top talents week-by-week in the build-up to WrestleMania, in order to prove himself worthy. I liked that idea because it guaranteed a great main event each week. However tonight’s match should be great and Aries is a shoe-in to steal the victory!
Unfortunately, it was announced this week that Cedric Alexander will be out of action for 3-5 months with a knee injury. Injuries are never good news and we wish Alexander a speedy recovery. It’s been a rough few months for Alexander, having lost Alicia Fooooooooooooox and now getting injured.
The Fatal 5-Way is the only announced match for 205 Live tonight but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Noam Dar face Mustafa Ali or Jack Gallagher, or maybe a tag team match with Ariya Daivari, just to get the boys some TV time.
