As previously reported, Brock Lesnar vs. Bill Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title is set to close this year’s WrestleMania event. The belief is this will be Goldberg’s last match with WWE unless he signs a new deal before the show. It’s being speculated that the match won’t be as short as their prior encounters at Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble, however don’t be surprised if it’s only 5-7 minutes long. Goldberg is expected to drop the title to Lesnar.
In regards to what the company has planned for the Universal Title after WrestleMania, Dave Meltzer indicated on a recent installment of Wrestling Observer Radio that Roman Reigns may work a program with Brock Lesnar. If that is the case, it is very possible that Reigns could defeat The Undertaker at Mania.
Keep in mind, these plans can always change between now and WrestleMania. WWE is notorious for changing plans on the fly.
