It was announced on Chael Sonnen’s podcast yesterday that Jack Swagger has requested his release from WWE and is no longer with the promotion, however that’s not exactly the case.
While Swagger has requested his release from WWE, he is still officially with the company, according to PWInsider. Basically, his release from the company hasn’t been granted. Swagger noted on Sonnen’s podcast that his release is “an ongoing process right now.”
