Ever since Seth Rollins forged a new stable alongside the Authors of Pain and Buddy Murphy, it’s felt like just a matter of time before all four men are riding high with championship gold wrapped around their waist.
While Rollins and Murphy may currently hold the RAW tag titles, you’d have to imagine that AOP will be the ones to take over as champs somewhere down the road – providing WWE keeps this faction together for longer than five minutes, that is.
The Authors of Pain have been through a lot during their time on the main roster but now, they’ve been handed a golden opportunity to shine on the biggest stage.
It’s a short and sweet message from Akam that highlights just how well things are going right now: Monday nights have never been better.
It’s as accurate as it is concise with AOP never really being given all too much of a chance to shine prior to this opportunity. They’ve had their moments, but before Seth and Buddy came along it was pretty obvious to suggest they peaked when they were down in NXT.
Whether or not they can keep this momentum up is a different matter altogether, but as long as they can keep building up some natural heat from the crowd as the weeks and months go on, they’ll be just fine.
