AEW’s television show could wind up on Wednesday nights. With All Elite Wrestling recently registering a Wednesday Night Dynamite trademark things could get very interesting when it comes to mid-week pro wrestling content. Because WWE will likely pull a counter measure.

In reality, WWE already has competition for AEW in place on Wednesday nights. Because they have a block of original programming on Wednesday night on the WWE Network anyway. NXT UK and NXT both air on Wednesdays on the WWE Network. This could leave fans with an interesting decision.

Ringside News wanted to know where fans are leaning. So we ran a poll across our social media to see what our awesome readers would tune in to watch if given the choice between AEW and NXT. The results are pretty surprising.

As of this writing, 38% of fans on Facebook say that they would watch NXT compared to the 62% who said they would watch AEW. On the other hand, fans polled on Twitter had a bit of a closer result with 43% of fans saying they would watch NXT compared to 57% who would watch AEW.

No matter how fans are split, it certainly seems like WWE has their work cut out for them because AEW is drawing the larger percentage. WWE is set to have some stiff competition on Wednesday nights if AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite on TNT becomes a thing.

Maybe WWE will come up with something different or make NXT a live show to combat AEW further, but it’s hard to tell what Vince McMahon’s company is capable of at this point.
