I couldn't help but feel a little let down this year that the WWE decided to have their top three main events be rematches. Sure we've seen a lot of rematches for main events at WrestleMania's but they where hot enough to pull off a rematch everybody wanted to see. Does anyone really want to see Brock Lesnar vs Triple H again? The match itself is a money match, PPV quality for sure. However they just fought at Summerslam and I just wasn't jazzed about seeing it again at WrestleMania this year.
And now onto CM Punk vs The Undertaker. I'm actually the most excited about this match for the fact that CM Punk has evolved into such a great performer that it dosen't have so much of a rematch feel. The match feels pretty fresh in that CM Punk is as good as he's ever been and we haven't seen The Undertaker for a year. I've said it before it will be very interesting to see if The Undertaker would be willing to relinquish his undefeated streak to CM Punk. If there's one deserving guy to steal Taker's streak, it's CM Punk, I believe this will be the best match on the card.
Last but not least we have The Rock vs John Cena part deuce. Not too crazy about this one folks. Last year it was pretty cool to see these two fight but this is the third year we've seen Cena and Rock in some type of feud leading up to WrestleMania. To me, the WWE creative team is just being lazy about the feud, turn Cena heel, turn Rock heel, do something different please.
If I had to make the three main event matches this year it would go something like this:
The Undertaker vs Ryback
Brock Lesnar vs The Rock
Triple H vs CM Punk vs John Cena (WWE Championship match with CM Punk as champ)
Well that's my little rant, we can all just sit back and hope the WWE hits this one out of the park. Thanks for reading!
