Cody declared himself a true WWE champion, unlike the fake Tribal Chief Solo. Rhodes emphasized that he paid his dues and intends to avenge Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. He reminded Solo of his victory over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40. Solo responded by acknowledging Roman’s weakness but asserting, “I’m not weak, I’m the opposite of that, I’m dangerous.”

Solo proposed making their SummerSlam match a Bloodline rules match. As Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, and Jacob Fatu approached the ring, Rhodes stood firm, calling Jacob Fatu a “dumb son of a bitch.” Cody accepted the challenge for the new stipulation.
