The controversy surrounding John Laurinaitis has got tons of attention, especially concerning his alleged involvement in Vince McMahon’s hush money settlement scandal and the subsequent trafficking lawsuit. These allegations led to WWE severing ties with Laurinaitis. Unsurprisingly, Johnny Ace has now joined McMahon in filing a motion in the trafficking lawsuit, compelling arbitration.

On January 25th, Janel Grant, a former WWE staff member, filed lawsuit against WWE, John Laurinaitis, and Vince McMahon, alleging sexual assault, emotional abuse, and sex trafficking incidents dating back to March 2019. This lawsuit has brought serious allegations against these prominent figures, casting a shadow over McMahon’s reputation and raising concerns about the workplace environment within WWE.

As previously reported, Vince McMahon has filed a motion to compel arbitration in the Grant v. WWE et al. case, where he denied Grant’s claims of sexual abuse and coercion, among other things, which got response from Grant’s lawyer.

Laurinaitis has maintained his innocence throughout the ordeal, asserting that he is victim of circumstances. However, according to Brandon Thurston, John Laurinaitis’s attorney, Edward Brennan, released a statement confirming that Laurinaitis has filed a motion supporting Vince McMahon’s request to move a legal case to arbitration.

The statement declares that Laurinaitis fully joins McMahon in compelling arbitration and corroborates McMahon’s public denial of the sexual abuse and coercion allegations made by Ms. Grant in her complaint.

“John Laurinaitis has filed a Motion today fully joining in and adopting Vince McMahon’s motion to compel arbitration.  Mr. Laurinaitis corroborates Mr. McMahon in publicly declaring that Ms. Grant’s allegations of sexual abuse and coercion in her Complaint are completely unfounded.  My client will fight these false allegations together with Mr. McMahon in the proper forum, arbitration.”

Vince McMahon’s lawyer has also reacted to Janel Grant’s motion to strike. A former WWE Superstar also accused Johnny Ace of misconduct. Regardless, we’ll have to wait and see how the case will progress in the coming months.
