Several WWE Superstars have faced challenges in securing consistent opportunities during their time with the company, and Sanga is among them. Following his recent release from WWE, Sanga has now called out WWE for a lack of Indian representation.

Yesterday was a difficult day for many WWE fans, as the company announced a series of releases affecting numerous stars. Along with Sanga, other notable names like Xyon QuinnJinder Mahal, and surprisingly, Xia Li. In fact, even Veer Mahan was also let go, adding to the collective disappointment among the WWE community.

Sanga’s release might not have come as complete shock, given the release of other Indus Sher members earlier. Sanga took to Twitter and in an emotional video translated from Hindi, decided to call out WWE for not signing any Indian talent and not having Indian representation, while still wanting views from India.

“When it comes to viewership, you want it from India. You want viewership on Facebook from India, the same goes for views on YouTube and television. But, when it comes to talent from India, you’re not encouraging it […] It’s sad, but you need to understand that we come from a land with 1.4 billion people, and they like you and us, and they want talented athletes from their home country to be represented and work on an international level […] It hurts when I hear this or think about it, but your company doesn’t have any athletes from India.”

Sanga’s last match was in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the April 5, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Sanga.
