WWE Could Be Splitting Up Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez

Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez have been working together for quite a long time now, which also resulted in Gonzalez winning the NXT Women’s Championship. While the two seem inseparable, it seems WWE might have other plans for them.

On this week’s episode of NXT, Raquel Gonzalez defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Mercedes Martinez. She was successfully able to retain her title despite Martinez’s best efforts.

After the match concluded, Martinez could be seen getting checked backstage. Gonzalez then came out and approached Martinez and said, “respect.” Dakota Kai saw this and was very shocked at what she said.

Kai was so upset that she stormed out of the backstage area as Martinez looked on. WWE on Twitter also added to the eventual split by commenting on the backstage segment.

Kai and Gonzalez have been paired together since NXT TakeOver: Portland in Feb. 2020, where Gonzalez made her NXT debut and helped Kai beat Tegan Nox in a Street Fight. We will have to see if WWE truly will split up Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.
