Dio Maddin didn’t get very much time on the RAW commentary table before Brock Lesnar hit an F5 on him and sent him packing. Now Maddin is going back to the WWE Performance Center and Samoa Joe is stepping in on commentary.

Bryan Alvarez mentioned on Wrestling Observer Live that both Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn had problems with Dio Maddin on commentary. Apparently, they didn’t like his work so they might be re-training him at the WWE PC.

“I don’t know if Dio Maddin himself is gonna get mad but I’m sure we’ll hear that this is not accurate but this is what happened. Vince and Kevin Dunn didn’t like Dio Maddin on commentary and they took him off commentary and I think they were gonna try to re-train him or whatever to do commentary but now I guess he’s decided he wants to be a wrestler again.”

“I’m sure the official story is going to be that he just decided while doing commentary that he wanted to be a wrestler.”

Dio Maddin hinted that he wants to make a return to the main roster as a Superstar. He does want to retire Brock Lesnar now. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens for him, but hopefully, this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Dio Maddin.
