Becky Lynch started the year with little momentum and found herself lost in the shuffle of SmackDown Live. By the time SummerSlam rolled around, the “Lasskicker” started to gain fan support in droves after her opportunity at Carmella’s SmackDown Women’s Championship was ripped away by Charlotte Flair. Flair’s victory at SummerSlam led to a heel turn by Lynch, and “The Man” was born.
Lynch took to her Twitter account to share a video of 16-time World Champion John Cena taking note of her character during an interview he had in promotion of the Bumblebee movie. In association with the clip from Cena, Lynch explained that she found her voice in 2018, and she won’t be held down in 2019.
Lynch puts the rosters of RAW and SmackDown Live on notice, telling everyone they need to step up because she will not be held down again. Check out her tweet below:
Lynch is widely believed to be heading to WrestleMania 35 to face Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey in a triple threat match. This match is expected to headline WrestleMania 35 and make history for women in WWE. For most girls, they’ve said in interviews for years their main goal is to have women main event WrestleMania. Now, more than ever, it seems that is possible.
