XFL is coming back and at this point, it seems like Vince McMahon and his company are planning something to make this as big of a deal as possible. Not only did they hype the announcement months ago, but now that we know the eight cities which will host the eventual XFL teams, their strategy might be coming together.
It seems by placing XFL cities in famous NFL locations, they are able to possibly capitalize on the downtime those fans might have in that market in the offseason. It looks like the XFL will know if that is going to work soon enough, because even though the games aren’t scheduled to kick off until February 2020, fans can make sure they have a seat for the event where ever they want to catch a game.
The XFL is already reserving season tickets for their return season on their official website which was announced during the conference held today. At this point, you can reserve a season ticket with a nonrefundable nontransferable $50 deposit per ticket which is a pretty smart strategy on the XFL’s part. There is no amount of a final price per season ticket posted on the site, but $50 guarantees fans a chance to buy a season ticket once they are released.
The XFL also has their online store fully operational and ready to go. This online shop was initially re-opened after Vince McMahon’s announced months ago, but they have added new items in preparation for added interest.
Hopefully, the merchandise they sell in their store won’t soon become something ironic that people can wear because the company is no longer in operation.
