WWE TLC is coming up on December 16th and the card is already taking shape and a couple matches were confirmed on Raw last night. But the split brand pay-per-view is likely to have plenty more matches added, so let’s take a look at what WWE has for us so far.
Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin will be interesting not only because of the stipulations involved. If Baron wins he becomes Raw’s full-time GM and if Strowman wins then he gets a Universal Title shot against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble. But there is also an issue that Strowman might not be able to work the event after needing an actual surgery on his elbow.
Charlotte Flair did a number on Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series, but now Rousey will have a true heel to face in Nia Jax. Hopefully, their match at TLC won’t be very hard-hitting but Rousey has been knocked out before. Only that is not the ideal situation at all for this match if they want to keep Ronda as a strong-looking face of the company.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose have done battle plenty of times before and now they will have a war for the IC Title. But this match is about way more than just the IC Title at this point so it’s logical to assume this match could not only steal the show but might deserve to be the main event, especially if they slap on a nice stipulation to it.
We’re also going to get the final match in the second season of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge where the winning team will get the coveted 30th entry spots in the Royal Rumble matches.
WWE TLC seems like it’s coming together nicely on the Raw side, now we just have to wait and see what is added from SmackDown Live. Only time will tell what they end up adding from the blue brand, but this might be a nice early Christmas present from WWE on December 16th if they can pull off a good show as they prepare for the race to the Royal Rumble event.
