As seen on Sky Bet, the early betting odds have been released for the upcoming Intercontinental Championship match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose at WWE TLC.
The feud between the two former Shield brothers has been brewing for weeks now, ever since Dean turned on Seth on the same night that Roman Reigns announced the return of his leukemia. Many fans would’ve preferred to see WWE hold off on booking the match until WrestleMania 35, but this way, it seems like the bout will end up being the main event.
The match was announced last night during the Survivor Series event, in the wake of Rollins defeating Shinsuke Nakamura.
The betting odds currently favour Rollins to retain his championship, with odds of 8/11 whereas Ambrose is the 1/1 underdog.
It’d certainly be an interesting route for them to go down if Ambrose lost, given that they could risk him losing any momentum he’s built up since the heel turn. Whatever happens it will almost certainly be a match of the highest quality, but it’d also likely represent another pay per view in which Universal Champion Brock Lesnar will be absent.
Dean and Seth have waged many wars over the course of the last few years dating back to when Rollins was the one who first turned heel, and it’s not exactly a stretch to suggest that whatever the outcome is at WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs, they’ll square off again somewhere down the road.
This year’s event will take place in San Jose, California.
