We’re not sure how much WWE is shelling out to get Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, or The Undertaker to make the trip to Saudi Arabia, but Kane was at least getting $100,000.
WBIR reports that WWE has agreed to donate $100,000 to the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation. Kane replied that he was obviously happy to be able to give back in this way and this is obviously a huge nod to Glenn Jacob’s office as Mayor of Knox County Tennesee, after all, $100,000 is a very fine consolation to having your mayor fly across the globe for a wrestling event. This was also at Kane’s request.
Vince McMahon noted in the press release concerning this move that he appreciated the people they were able to assist as well.
“I appreciate his gesture to the heroes who selflessly put themselves in harm’s way and look forward to his continued progress in his mission,”
Kane is slated to be in The Undertaker’s corner for his final match against Triple H at WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne Australia. Shawn Michaels is also scheduled to be in Triple H’s corner so The Big Red Machine’s services were needed.
