Backstage Meeting With Brock Lesnar Scheduled Hours Before SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar is in a very unique situation as he walks into SummerSlam as Universal Champion. WWE needs him to defend his title at least one more time, but Roman Reigns is poised to capture the title as Lesnar goes back to the UFC.

Joe Peisich from Barnburner’s Fired Up podcast said Lesnar is currently scheduled to have a meeting with WWE executives before SummerSlam which could mean a big change in plans is on the way. Then again, WWE might not even know exactly what they’re doing just yet.

“Apparently Sunday around 4 o’clock, Brock Lesnar will have a closed-door meeting with the head honchos, maybe Stephanie, Triple H, Vince, or whatever. I don’t know what that meeting’s about. But, if he retains the title you can expect Brock Lesnar will be working for both WWE and UFC.”

“He is having and I’ve been told this by 3 sources, he’s having a closed-door meeting with the head honchos of WWE hours before his matchup with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.”

Brad Shepard noted how “the finish is up in the air,” concerning the Universal Title match. Only time will tell if WWE and Lesnar can work out a new deal. But it could certainly be interesting regardless of what goes down.
