While discussing this week’s episode of SmackDown Live on the latest installment of The No Holds Barred podcast, Joseph Peisech revealed that Daniel Bryan was offered a WWE contract this past Sunday but didn’t sign it.
“Daniel Bryan, he was offered a contract on Sunday. He did not sign it. The legalities or something like that. Technically he’s a free agent come September 1st.”
Joseph Peisech also revealed that if Bryan does decide to sign the contract, WWE will probably push The Miz vs. Daniel Bryan back and have it take place at WrestleMania instead.
“If you’re ever going to play the three, four year waiting game between The Miz and Daniel Bryan you better pull the trigger right now because you may not have it. That’s why they are going with the match at SummerSlam. I’ve been told that if he does sign the match is going to be held off till WrestleMania.”
