WWE Revisiting Possible Hulk Hogan Return

Dave Metlzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the idea of WWE bringing back Hulk Hogan has been revisited. The problem with his return boils down to the same problems previously — would sponsors be okay with it and would there be any media backlash?

Meltzer also mentioned that Hogan was recently in talks with another promotion about doing an angle that would have been huge, but speculated that it could have been a play to get back into WWE.

“Hogan was in talks about a return to wrestling of late, but not with WWE, with an angle that would have been huge, but in the end, it wouldn’t have made economic sense and the feeling is also that if he went anywhere, maybe it would be a tease like he did in the past and not go through with it and it would just be his angling to get WWE to bring him back.”
